some documentation of some music projects i have been involved with over the years. to me playing music has always been more 'something to do' than about making records. a means of connecting and sharing space with people. someone i know once referred to starting bands as 'the only way they knew how to make friends as an adult' and i relate to that. all said, i also like revisiting these recordings and documents of those times and places and thought it would be fun to collect them all on one page, for my memories mostly. start a band! it rocks.

privacy issues (2017-present)
i started this band w my friend pier harrison in 2017 but we played our first show in 2018.
released our first tape in 2020. a dream project really.

abandon (2016-present)
someone once said that an abandon show made them question what music even is, which i've never forgotten.
this is a words/noise collaboration where my sister jenn writes the words, i sing(?) them with her and play some floor tom.
sometimes our friend stephen lee clark contributes noise/electronics, which are the best abandon shows.
we have played some amazing gigs together & went on a tour once in nov 2019 opening for devon welsh - one of my fav music experiences ever.
on the tour we started a daily newspaper that came out at the merch table every night - my dream. abandon is mostly a performance
project but here is one track we recorded for a wharf cat aclu benefit comp:

boys online (2016-2018)
this was my friend jolie's songwriting project that i played drums in.
we played a bunch of fun shows, and somewhat spontaneously recorded a demo in the back of silent barn
after our first weekend as a band. i still love these songs. one even appeared on a le sigh comp.

trace mountains (2014-2016)
this is the songwriting/recording project of my friend dave benton. i played drums from 2014-2016.
it was the band where i first started playing drums, an experience i am forever grateful for.
we played a lot of fun shows, a couple of which are documented below.
dave continues releasing incredible records with this project.

libbie2000 (2014-2016)
a short-lived solo project that only played a few shows. emily reo drummed for a couple of them.
minimal indie pop songs w lyrics pulled from tour diaries and scribbled down while bartending.
my one and only recording is a version of "sister saint" by waxahatchee for a crutchfield covers comp:
